Ceramic line post insulator polymer is divided into low voltage insulator and high voltage insulators used for power lines, also called LV & HV line post insulators.
Ceramic line post insulator polymer is made from high strength porcelain and line post insulators for nominal voltage above 1kv
◆ Description:
Low voltage or medium voltage ceramic line-post insulators produced from the ceramic material C130 with aluminium or hot-dip galvanized cast iron fittings, assembled on the sulphur or lead antimony cementing.
◆ Applications:
They are used as the insulating elements for power lines for nominal voltage up to 36 kV, mainly on the suspension towers or electrical poles.
◆ Type:
ANSI 57-1, ANSI 57-2, ANSI 57-3, ANSI 57-4, ANSI 57-5, ANSI 57-11, ANSI 57-12, ANSI 57-13, ANSI 57-14, ANSI 57-15, ANSI 57-21, ANSI 57-22, ANSI 57-23, ANSI 57-24, ANSI 57-25, ANSI 57-31, ANSI 57-32, ANSI 57-33, ANSI 57-34, ANSI 57-35
Sometimes, Ceramic line post insulator polymer is used as pin insulators for nominal voltage above 1kv. Ceramic line-post insulators are used on transmission lines up to 132kv. 69kv and 72.5kv line post insulators are popular used on overhead power lines.
