33kv line post insulator is used on transmission and distribution line, the voltage of this type insulator can upto 132kV, and the manufacture of it is totally according to ANSI standard.
Compare with pin type insulator it is non-puncture insulator, so it can take the place of pin type insulator, and it is familiar to pin insulator, because 33kv line post insulator is also used with a pin/spindle mounted rigidly on a supporting structure.
33kv line post insulator has two different materials:

Composite polymer:
In order to adjust people’s needs to mount the insulator more easily, so 33kv line post insulator have four types on the top of it:
Vertical tie-top types
Vertical clamp-top types
Horizontal clamp top-cup base types
Horizontal clamp top gain base type
With these different structures, 33kv line post insulator have many advantage, available in both horizontal and vertical trunnion, the horizontal type are used for applications such as down-leads and jumper loop control, vertical type used for applications crossarms and sructures.
