The physiochemical and mechanical properties of these Composite line post insulator 45KV remain constant over wide temperature range. Water drop corona in the high electric field region will lead to the localized loss of Hydrophobicity (sheath area) and the affected regions will have E-field magnitudes above the water drop corona onset threshold if the material of sheath area is not superior.
These composite insulator products are intricately designed by using top quality of basic material and including updated technology and tools. The load-bearing Composite line post insulator 45KV rods are made of electrical grade fiberglass, reinforced with epoxy resin using a wet filament winding technique. In order to give some guidance, annex explains how to calculate the moment in the Composite line post insulator 45KV resulting from combined loads. This moment can then be equated to an equivalent bending load or stress for design purposes.
